To become a certified real estate agent, it is necessary to attend real estate school to ensure that you have the proper training to perform the duties of this profession. Real estate school can be a very demanding and competitive endeavor. There are a surprisingly high number of people that aspire to be a real estate agent, so even getting into real estate school can be tough. Once you are at real estate school, the competition among classmates can be fierce as people battle for the top marks in order to try to secure the best jobs. I am not saying this to try and deter anyone from going to real estate school. I have never actually encountered someone who wanted to go to real estate school and did not get in, or was not successful when they went. Rather, I am trying to warn you of the hard work and determination required if you go to real estate school.
Almost all major real estate companies will recruit a lot of their employees directly from real estate school. Thus, the job placement rate of graduates from real estate school is higher than almost any other post secondary educational institution. As well, many real estate companies will pay for their existing employees to attend real estate school. The only stipulation is that they will require you to return to their company after you are done real estate school. For those of you that are truly passionate about working in real estate, I would strongly encourage you to attend real estate school, as it provide a great foundation for the rest of your career.
