There are few companies in the industry that can match the size and clout of the Prudential Real Estate Company. The Prudential Real Estate Company is one of the oldest real estate companies in America, and has thus been able to establish themselves as one of the leaders in the industry. The Prudential Real Estate Company operates mostly in the United States and focuses mainly on the residential market. Most of their clients are individuals that are buying personal homes. However, the Prudential Real Estate Company also deals with some people who are buying homes as an investment technique.
The Prudential Real Estate Company faces their toughest competition from Century 21. This company is very similar to the Prudential Real Estate Company in that their operations are in the same geographic areas and they also focus on the residential market. Despite these large similarities, they both have very different marketing and advertising campaigns. The Prudential Real Estate Company relies largely on word-of-mouth advertising and on referrals from their past clients in order to generate new business. While this is an aspect of Century 21’s campaign as well, they have a much larger portion of their budget allocated more traditional means of advertising, such as television commercials. While these clear differences in strategies exist, the Prudential Real Estate Company and Century 21 have not had any significant changes in market share.
